Autumn Baughn (She/her)
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate
I’m a relational therapist based in Bellingham, WA, offering affirming, specialized relational therapy for couples and polycules, individuals, and families. I work both in person and via telehealth across Washington, including Seattle and surrounding areas. I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community and have personal experience navigating long-term relationships, identity shifts, parenting, and non-traditional relationship structures and intersections with queer identity. I understand how layered this work can be, and I hold that with care and respect.
My work with couples is at the center of what I do. Using an attachment-based, experiential approach (primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy), I'll help you understand the patterns where you get stuck and shift them in real time. Whether you’re navigating communication struggles, recurring conflict, major life transitions, polyamory and open relationships, or sex and intimacy concerns, we’ll work with what’s right there so change feels real, not just talked about.
What feels different about working with me is that I’m not sitting back observing your relationship, I’m in it with you. I’ll gently guide, reflect, and sometimes interrupt the pattern as it’s happening so you can see and experience something new in the moment. I actively engage with your relationship, guiding and reflecting to help you experience new dynamics. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct when needed, emphasizing emotional safety, consent, and real connection.
I also work with individuals on anxiety, relationship patterns, identity exploration, religious trauma, survivors of conversion therapy and life transitions. I also enjoy working with families across all ages, including parenting support, reconnection after estrangement, and co-parenting after separation or divorce.
My goal is to create a warm, honest, and useful space for understanding and shifting patterns towards more intentional and connected relationships.
