About Us
Moon Tide Therapy Collective is an affirming mental health practice based in Bellingham, serving clients throughout Washington state both online and in office.
We specialize in supporting:
-
LGBTQIA+ individuals
-
neurodivergent and neurodistinct clients
-
polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships
-
kinky/BDSM communities
-
folks who work in the sex and erotica industries
-
and others whose identities and experiences are often misunderstood or marginalized within traditional mental health spaces
Our work is grounded in anti-oppressive and liberation-focused values, recognizing the ways systemic harm and social stigma impact mental health, relationships, identity, and belonging. We aim to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and deeply human.
Our Story
Moontide Therapy Collective was created to meet the growing need for affirming, relational, and genuinely competent mental health care within queer and marginalized communities.
The name “Moontide” reflects the ways we are shaped by relationship, connection, and change. Just as the moon influences the tides, we believe people are deeply impacted by the relationships, systems, and experiences surrounding them.
Healing is rarely linear; it moves in phases, cycles, closeness, grief, growth, rupture, and return. We wanted our practice to honor those rhythms rather than push people toward unrealistic ideas of perfection or permanence.
At its core, Moontide Therapy Collective is about creating space for authenticity, connection, and healing—for people who too often have had to navigate the world without enough places to safely be themselves.
